NOTICE OF WEBCAST ON APRIL 20, 2005 RISK AND REWARD AT THE FRONTIERS OF AFRICAN GOLD EXPLORATION; THE AXMIN STORY

Toronto, Ontario – April 18, 2005 AXMIN Inc. (AXM-TSX Venture) is pleased to invite you to attend the webcast of an event entitled Risk and Reward at the Frontiers of African Gold Exploration; The AXMIN Story being hosted by The Association of Mining Analysts of London, England (“AMA”) on Wednesday April 20, 2005. The webcast can be accessed over the internet from a link on the AXMIN website homepage at www.axmininc.com.

AXMIN is currently undertaking a resource drilling program at its Passendro Project on the Bambari Permit in the Central African Republic, and at the same time undertaking exploration drilling programs on its properties in Mali and Senegal. Further mapping, trenching and pitting in Sierra Leone continues to define drill targets in preparation for a program later in the quarter.
Speakers at the AMA hosted event will present specialist views on Sub-Sahara Africa and mining, covering risk factors and legal perspectives.

AXMIN’s principals have been actively involved in the renaissance of the Sub-Saharan gold industry and at the forefront of the selection and development of projects within this area. AXMIN was established six years ago by the principals behind SAMAX who wished to continue their development in Sub-Saharan Africa following the acquisition of SAMAX by Ashanti Goldfields in 1998. Following the successful completion of a reverse take-over in 2001 AXMIN was listed on the TSX Venture Exchange in Toronto, Canada. Since 1999 AXMIN has successfully built a portfolio of exploration properties in the Central African Republic, Mali, Senegal and Sierra Leone with the focus being the discovery of gold deposits. Dr. Michael Martineau, Deputy Chairman and President, and Dr. Jonathan Forster, Chief Executive Officer, will present the background to the development of AXMIN as an African explorer and detail how that experience has been turned to the untapped mineral potential of the Central African Republic.

The agenda for the AMA hosted event is as follows:
